A Photoshoot with 5 dogs on set?

Are you crazy? A photoshoot with 8 dogs! You know the show-biz saying never work with babies or dogs, they will upstage you! Well, it was anything but. All the dogs brought their own personality to the photoshoot. First, you need to start with a fantastic photographer, Andrea Blakesberg. Someone who has vision and is up for anything…even the 6 mo old Greater Swiss Mountain puppy who we now call “Mr. Poopy”, you can imagine why.  Next, you add a fantastic dog trainer, Kelsey Alverez for LeadChangeDogTraining in Boca, who brought the best dogs ever.

Kelsey is a dog trainer based in Boca Raton, Florida helping families live the life they imagined with their pet dog. Dogs are part of the family and we help your pup learn to take new experiences in stride. The human side of the equation is as important as the dog side. Your relationship and partnership with your dog will grow and flourish throughout our time working together. Also corraling the pups was Allison Chambers of Complete Canine Training.

We had more dogs than you would see at one time on set so they could have a break in their air-conditioned crates. Here is the roster of wagging tales:

• Leo – Black German Shepard
• Reggie – Male/Golden Retriever (I think he was in love with Brenda)
• Piper – Femal/Golden Retriever
• Rocky – Pug
• Kyo – Shiba (was the most up for acrobatics)
• Otis – Frenchy (with a very French disposition)
• Rio – Long Hair Dachshund
• Ripply – Greater Swiss (Greater Swiss mountain dogs are extra-large pups who often top 100 pounds!)

The Fun Fashions

Our willing non-dog models Brenda Marks, Founder, and David Meyers, Manager, brought their A-game. Davids’s tuxedo was from Ted Barry Tux in Deerfield Beach while Brenda wore Rent-The-Runway, yes that fabulous gold gown! Also Encore Plus is An upscale luxury designer resale boutique in the heart of east Boca Raton. Professional and elegant makeup by the super-talented, Diana Escobar.
